Red Fox

Red Fox

 

As I drove through Chapel’s Cove the other day I spotted a red fox walking across the road and into the bushes.  I turned off the main road and drove to a clearing and waited for the fox to show up.  Seconds after I had my window down and camera ready, the fox came out of the bushes and headed my way.  It heard the first clicks of the camera and got nervous. It stopped, turned around, stopped and looked back at me a few times before walking across the clearing in the other direction.

According to the statistics on my Photo of the Day Blog, the Harbour Main Series is only getting 10-20 hits a day.  Interestingly, Harbour Main 5, which had images of people, had 63 views.  I wonder if more of you are interested in People rather than Scenery?

Today’s photos of Harbour Main show different views of the harbour that I took during a visit in July, 2001.  As you can see, this town is very scenic and certainly worth visiting if you happen to be in the vicinity.  To view the areas shown in today’s images, you have to drive off the main road on to Harbour Drive.

A small river forms a small pond behind the rocky beach, and the town has developed it into a swimming park.  During the summer months it is a busy place.
