Shorebirds, Nova Scotia

During the summer I photographed a variety of birds. Today's photos show a flock of shore birds (they are too small in the photo to for me identify) that took flight for a short time then landed on the beach not far from where I was standing. I took these three photos as quickly as I could. (approximately 1 second since I can shoot 3 per second with my camera).

If anyone can identify the birds in the photos let me know. They were photographed in Nova Scotia in mid-August.
