Trout River

Trout River

Trout River is a beautiful little town surrounded by the beauty of Gros Morne National Park.  A river runs through the town and I am including photos taken of the boats and stages on the river, just before it flows into the ocean.  I imagine it is well-protected from the elements most of the time.

I plan to start a Trout River Gallery soon!

Riverhead

Riverhead

This morning, I landed on my Riverhead folder and decided to share boat photos form 2000 and 2002.  Riverhead is located in St. Mary's Bay along the Irish Loop.  When I looked through the photos, I realized that I took more photos of houses in that community than anything else.  There are a couple of side roads, and it was on those that I photographed the boats.

Manatees

Manatees

In December 2010, I was in Florida for a couple of weeks and friends took us to Fort Myers to see manatees.  Apparently, they swim up the river/canals because a power plant releases warm water.  There were quite a few there and I took quite a few photos.  However, they are underwater creatures which makes it difficult to take pictures.  The deeper they go, the more brown they look.  It is difficult to focus through the water as well.

If you would like to see the rest of the photos, feel free to check my album:

Rivers

Rivers

In 1996, I was hired by Canadian Helicopters to photograph President George Bush's visit to Labrador as well as to take photos of helicopters at work at Voisey's Bay.  During those trips I took a few photos of rivers in Labrador and am sharing a few today.

If you like photos of rivers, I have an album that you may like:

Neddies Harbour

Neddies Harbour

Neddies Harbour is located in Gros Morne National Park next to Norris Point.  From the tiny community, you can get great views of the Tablelands with boats and houses.  It is a scenic area, worthy of a visit!

I will have to create an album for these photos!

American Goldfinches

American Goldfinches

We have American goldfinches drop by here from time to time.  I enjoy seeing thew, especially the brightly coloured males that brighten up the yard.  I anticipate that we will see more this winter.  I have made a note to create an album of goldfinch photos when I get more images.

The Butchart Gardens

The Butchart Gardens

I visited Butchart Gardens in Victoria, British Columbia in early July 2018.  Today I am sharing a few wider shots I took that day, but to really get a sense of all the types of flowers and trees there, you need to view my Album featuring all the photos I took that day!  You will find the link below.

If you live in the area or are visiting Victoria, I suggest you add The Butchart Gardens to your list of things to do.
