Two Houses - Ochre Pit Cove

 Two Houses
Ochre Pit Cove

I’ve been photographing the same houses in Ochre Pit Cove for years, and tonight on my Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/kbrucelane) I posted a photo of an old house and the comments turned to a house that I have many photos of over a 10 year period – 2002-2012.
As a result of the discussion I thought it would be interesting to put together a series showing that house and the pink one that I have photographed together and separately.
IN 2002, both houses were side by side.  Imagine my surprise a few years later when I discovered that the pink house had been moved.

As you scan down through the photos notice the changes as well as what I photographed. In 2004, I took many photos and I even tried to reproduce a shot I took with a different camera a couple of years before.  Of course, the biggest difference is in 2012 when the yellow house is now the Baccalieu Cottage and the pink house has been moved to the back and has also undergone some renovations.

Oasis of the Seas 7

Oasis of the Seas 7

With 2 restaurants, a pub, and several shops, the Promenade is probably the busiest part of the ship.  I made several photos of this neighbourhood, but won’t be sharing the Abstract photos until later.  This is the last post showing the Oasis of the Seas.

For those of you who have been on a cruise before, the photos of this ship may have been interesting.  Those who have never cruised will probably be amazed that a ship can have so much on it.  As you know, I have cruised several times and I was amazed at all there is to do aboard the Oasis of the Seas.

Oasis of the Seas 6

Oasis of the Seas 6

Another neighbourhood on board the Oasis of the Seas is Central Park. This area had real plants and trees, birds and a few lizards.  This area is also open to the elements and if you want to walk through in the rain, umbrellas are provided at each entrance.  As you can see, this area has several restaurants and shops.  There is also a bar for people who just want to sit and relax.
