Cape Pine Lighthouse

My website and email server has been down since Friday so I have not been sending or receiving emails. I am sending today's through another account and will return to my normal email as soon as the problem is rectified.

I received several emails yesterday about the fact that the federal government here in Canada is planning to get rid of many old lighthouses and Point Amour is one of them. Apparently most lighthouse sites are contaminated with lead and other metals, probably from paint they used over the years. Since tourists love visiting old lighthouses, maybe the province or local businesses should take them over rather than just let them crumble.

Cape Pine Lighthouse, originally built in 1851, stands 300 feet above the sea overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The three photos this morning were taken within minutes of each other and each shows a different type of weather. which is evidence that the weather on these cliffs changes constantly, especially if the fog is beginning to lift.
