Holes 5

Holes 5

Today is the last in the Holes series. I hope you have enjoyed seeing a variety of images that depicted holes. Unfortunately I couldn't fill a request for the type of Holes that one might find in Washington or Ottawa. ;)

The design of the pottery in the first photo included holes which are still visible after the piece was put back together in Ferryland after it was found during the archaeological dig there. Rough sea ice that comes ashore occasionally here in Holyrood and has many holes caused by melting. The manatee, like the seal, has large nostrils that allows it to take in large amounts of air that will enable it to stay submerged for quite a while.

Photos of the Day are for sale as stock photographs
and photographic enlargements.
They can also be purchased as slide shows
and/or wallpapers/screensavers.
