Florida 3

As the sun continued to rise higher in the sky during the first morning, I walked back towards my friend's house and photographed the giant grasses that grow along the sides of the road. On one side the reddish light of the early morning sun reflected off the grasses but on the other the light almost looked like light passing through ice, though it wasn't that cold.

I have photographed the giant grasses growing around Citrus Park every time I visited, yet no two images are the same. There are tall grasses growing around my home in Newfoundland and Labrador, but they are tiny compared to the 20-30 foot grasses in Florida.

Photos of the Day are for sale as stock photographs
and photographic enlargements.
They can also be purchased as slide shows
and/or wallpapers/screensavers.
