Freedom of the City

In May 2006, the 56 Field Engineers received the Freedom of the City in a ceremony held at the Town Office. Besides the soldiers, there were provincial and federal politicians, members of the Southern Cross Sea Cadet Corps, members of the Royal Canadian Legion, and other invited guests. After the ceremony,  the soldiers marched through the town.
