Even though we were part of a tour group, the guide suggested that we leave the group if we wanted to see the community on our own.  It wasn't long before the group broke up and I found myself wandering the tiny streets alone.
The lady in the first photo looked happy to see a group of tourists show up this late in the season.  Near the highest point in the hilltop community an archway looked out over the vineyards in this part of southern France.
