Snowy Woods

We are expecting a snow storm this morning. It hasn't started yet, but heavy snow and wind followed by rain are still in the forecast for today. It should be good for snowshoeing afterwards!

Today's photos were made yesterday afternoon on the trails behind my house. It was a beautiful day: sunny, clear and just enough snow. After the 10-15 cm we get today, snowshoeing should be excellent! The third photo shows the trail and, if you look closely, you should see the tracks left by a fox that had walked there earlier in the day.

No matter how often I hike to the hills, winter or summer, it is still enjoyable. One might think that following the same trails year after year would be boring, but, for me, it isn't!
