Ava Maria is a gated community in Collier County, Florida. It is a well-planned community with a university, a beautiful church, a town centre, and a golf course. I visited the community in 2009 and in 2015. When I was there in 2009 I photographed a sculptor working on a sculpture of the Madonna, and in today's photos, you can view the finished sculpture mounted on the front of the church.
