Blue Jays

There have been families of blue jays living around here since I moved in 14 years ago. They are beautiful birds and I do enjoy having them here - most of the time. They do tend to drive smaller songbirds away from our feeders, and they will eat everything that we put out. Two years ago, we fed them peanuts a lot, but last year cut back to a few a day because other families of blue jays used to come here as well and there would be rackets between the different clans. Just too many blue jays around.
