Lobster Pots 8

Lobster Pots 8

Most of today's photos were taken on the Port au Port Peninsula on the island of Newfoundland.

Someone shared a story with me yesterday and I thought I'd share it with you today.

Growing up on Bay St George, I had relatives who were lobster fishermen.
Also as a teenager and before licensing I had about 6 pots that I had salvaged and got 21 cents per lb for my efforts.
When traps washed ashore in a spring storm, a unwritten rule was that if you dragged the trap up and out of harms way, if there were lobsters in it they were yours.
Feel free to share with family and friends.
