March 18

March 18

I am not surprised that the northern cardinal is a favourite bird for many people because it is so beautiful.  Though northern cardinals are sighted across the island of Newfoundland these days (even in winter), the only place I have seen them is in Florida.

There are several other bird species this morning including a great white heron with a snack and a pair of common gallinules (moorhens) with a young family among others.
